For my first cache, I decided to place it at a location not too far from my home. The cache is located at the top of Quaco Head, which is a visible from the Village of St. Martins and is located adjacent to the West Quaco Lighthouse.
I recommend parking at the lighthouse parking lot and walking up the road to the trailhead. The footpath begins near utility pole L19 (N45 19.490, W65 32.254). If you stand at the guy wire for the utility pole, you should easily see the path.
The path will take you to the top of Quaco Head. At N45 19.511, W65 32.355, there is a nice view of the St. Martins' Beach and Caves.
I rated the terrain a "4" because the path is relatively steep and there are many fallen trees at the top due to the seasonal high winds and minimal topsoil cover.
Container is a camo lock 'n lock with the following original contents:
-mosquito net
-bicycle bag
-trick dice
-lanyard
-blinking bicycle light
-laser pointer
-beach ball
-bicycle bell
-pencils and erasers
-logbook
-geocache note
FTF: triple trouble
