Geocache Description:

Easy cache in a calm historic setting.

Easy flat walk from car park. Pushchairs can be taken - be careful of children as it is alongside the canal.

If you are enjoying the walk a short walk will also enable you to access Leafy Hollows (GC1749E)

The cache is not in the nature reserve it is on the canal towpath and should be accessed by walking along the towpath.

The cache setting borders the Clay Pits - an old brick clay source and part of the reason for the canal. It is locally known as the Fairy Pools but I don't know the reason for this. The walk around the pools, now a nature reserve, is short but interesting with many colours of dragon flies and butterflies to be seen. I have also seen a kingfisher along this section of the canal.

Remember this is a small 10cm x 6cm x 5cm cache so please bear this in mind when swapping and please leave the pencil. Also please ensure it is hidden correctly when you leave it.
No hint really needed for this - but I'll give one anyway.
Enjoy
