Hotdogs in the Park... Event Cache

Since it has been a while since I hosted a geoholics breakfast and the end of the summer is fast approaching - I thought it was about time we had another get together - So we are hosting a casual family "hotdogs in the park" event!!!

Everyone is welcome to join us as we have hotdogs and cold drinks in the park - there are plenty of activities for the whole family including soccer fields, tennis and disc golf... Oh and of course there are a few caches around too...

I will be providing the food and drinks at no charge and will have a donation jar onsite to help offset the costs - no pressures... no expensive restuarants... just bring the family, enjoy the park and share your geocaching stories... Papabear178, Jahubee and I just got back from an 8 day adventure to Midwest Geobash so I am sure you will hear some of our stories too... LOL.

The picnic shelter that we have reserved will comfortably seat about 30-35 people so depending on how big the group gets you might want to bring extra folding chairs with you...

And of course any event has to have doorprizes and giveaways...

08/29/08 - Park Update!!!

As most of you know Cabarrus county had some pretty serious flash flooding this week... This park was no exception and judging by the waterline marks had about 4 feet of water covering the disc golf course, tennis courts and soccer fields...

The park was reopened today after soem major cleanup efforts by the city and there will be no problems for our event - woo hoo - see you all there.
