The memorial
Poppies on Parade is a series of caches devised by Mr. Nibbler, who has kindly given permission to use the idea.
Royston is a small market town south west of Cambridge. Like many villages, towns and cities in the UK it sent its sons to serve at sea, on land and in the air. Not all of them came back. Also like many it has a memorial to those that have fallen and not returned. Royston's 1914 - 1918 memorial in built into a recess in the wall of the local church.
The Cache
Please replace carefully in exactly the same position so the container is out of sight as you are in full view of passers by and traffic on the road. The cache is small magnetic container and contains only a log so you need to take your own pen or pencil. Please note that the cache is NOT on, or immediately adjacent to the memorial or under the wreaths etc so don't waste your time poking around it please.
This can be a very busy place with muggles and passing cars. You are definitely overlooked from nearby buildings - in fact the building opposite the memorial is the local police station (hence the difficulty level) - so extreme stealth is required. The area is paved and wheelchair accessible but help is required for the cache itself.
