Geocache Description:

Located near the highest point in Lewiston where a view of Mount Washington can be seen on a clear day.

This cache is located in Thorncrag Bird Sanctuary, a 310 acre wildlife preserve. At an elevation of 510 feet, the highest point in the city, this sanctuary sits as a green capstone, a forested oasis surrounded on three sides by urban and suburban development.

The cache is a clear Rubbermaid container with a white cover. Included in the cache are the following items:

  • Dunkin yo-yo
  • Mini Pocket Knife
  • Coleman Lantern light
  • Matchbox Car
  • Mini Caribiners, and a
  • Cubix Toy.
There is also a camera, and a log book with pencils and a sharpener. Please record your visit in the log and on film. If you take an item, please leave an item.
