Geocache Description:

There have been reports of cachers prying off the grate on the building, the cache is not there, please don't try and pry it off.

Stewart is a fantastic little town surrounded by mountains. Stewart gets thousands of visitors a year, many of whom head through to Hyder to see the grizzly bears at Fish Creek, or go a little further on up the road and back into British Columbia to Salmon Glacier which is Canada's 5th largest glacier. So, if people are visiting the cache.

The name should give you a good idea as to where the cache is. There is lots of parking, vehicles of any length should be able to pull in. Once you're there, take a walk on the board walk, we've seen ducks and geese out on the grass and occassionally a seal in the water if the tide is in.

Just as a note, when you're leaving town keep an eye out for the 18 glaciers, and when my daughter gave up counting, the 64 waterfalls that you pass by on the way back to Meziadin Junction.

Again, Visitor Info has said that if there is any more damage to the building due to the cache it will have to be removed, please don't pry off things that are nailed on, the cache is not behind the grate on the building.
