Spec Downs Store Traditional Cache
Railroading: Time to archive these caches that I'm not taking care of. Wish I had more time. It sure was lots of fun while it lasted. I love the folks that I met while geocaching. You are some of the best people in the world, and you know who you are.

Please park either on a side street or across the street from this cache. In the evening you can park in the small front parking lot, but its really hard to get back out into the street. Miss Ann, who now owns this shop, knows the cache is there, but not where it is located.
Placing this cache brought back memories of when I was small and my father use to sit with the older men in the community on Saturday mornings and chat for a while. Spec Downs had everything in his store that you could need. If Mr. Downs didn't have it you could go straight across the street and go to Dr. Camp's pharmacy. My Dad would come back home from these mornings after he had walked caddy corner across the street to the barber shop. Can anyone remember the barber's name, say from the 60's? If you have any memories of this little corner of Watkinsville, you could share them here.
Please replace the cache in the same position you found it. Sitting one way it will not get water in it.
