Road2Ruin: The property owner has erected a serious gate and fence at the entrance to this area. Since the intent is clearly to prevent any type of access, it is time for me to remove the caches hidden here. Thank you to all who visited.

For you night-time cache hunters, please don't use a flashlight until you are close to the cache site. No need to alarm the nearby residents. Also, driving through the gate is probably not a good idea.
This neighborhood has lain abandoned for around 25 years. We noticed it 20 years ago from the pair of gazebos that are a part of our neighborhood and occasionally we have wandered down to experience the eerieness of streets without houses. Nature has been steadily reclaiming the development and claims have also been made by kids doing what kids do in places like this.
A local resident from the adjacent neighborhood said this was to have been an "estate" area with large homes on big lots that were zoned for horse property. He said the building was halted because of a water problem, with springs and small sinkholes appearing.
