Geocache Description:

This is a series of mystery caches. Along the way you will need to collect information that is in each cache under the lid this is needed to locate the final cache in the series. There is too much information in some of the puzzles but not all of it should be disregarded.

Hi Pete,

Today I went down to the wharfs where the fishing boats are to have a look at what sort of fish they are catching and to get some fish to put on the bbq tonight. There was an amazing amount of boats here but no all are selling there fish here most are taking them to the markets.

While I was here I met an old fisherman, Syd who is retired but still visits the wharf each morning to see what catches there are. Syd was most helpful in showing me around and helping me out in finding be best fish for tea.

There was cod, tuna, barramundi, blue eye, flounder, catfish, perch, bass, garfish, trumpeter, gummy shark, morwong, salmon, flathead, smelt and many more.

Syd was full of stories about fishing at each bout he would tell me about the boat and its crew he knew most of their name and the rest he made up. It was great to meet him and get a guided tour. In the end I picked some salmon for on the bbq.

After this Syd invited me back to his place for a lunch. He lived not that far from the wharfs. When we got to his place I was astounded by the amount of nets that were around the place. You couldn’t walk up his drive way with out stepping over them. On the side of his shed he had a collection of buoys hanging. It was amazing all of the different shapes and colours.

Syd said that gets old nets that fishermen have discarded and then he fixes them and sells them to armatures for something to do. The bit he hates the most are the ones that he gets that are all tangled. He said that some of these are like trying to do a jigsaw puzzle in the dark, you think you haven’t got any hope of solving it but if you persevere you will work it out in the end.

Anyway the salmon is cooked now so I will send you another letter soon.

Trav

ps you will need a pen with you as the cache doesn't have one
