Cache is not at posted co-ordinates.


Located in Petticoat Creek Conservation Area. Both stages are accessible by bicycle.

The geek is back with another in a series of insect and arachnid related caches. Spiders! is designed to be kid, bicycle and CITO friendly. Any trash you pick up can be disposed of in an appropriate manner along the way to the final stage.

So on to the matter at hand.

Some of us are fascinated by spiders and some of us get the "heebie-jeebies" from them. Perhaps it's their eight legs or their beady little eyes that make some squeemish around them. Well let's try and have some fun with them for a moment with this crossword puzzle.

First things first, solve the puzzle (if you want to print a copy of it click on the "Related Web Page" link above to open the puzzle in a separate browser window). Then determine how many times each letter appears in the puzzle. Next step is to exchange each letter in the following equation with the number of times it was used.

N = H x M x A + C x Y - N / U° L x S / M + K x T.A x G x A - E / W
W = N / M x G + E / P + O / Y°R + K.G x A x R + F + A x A

You should now have the co-ordinates of this cache's first stage.

Once you locate the first stage (a small camouflaged container), you will find instructions on how to determine the co-ordinates for the final stage. Final stage is medium size camouflaged Lock 'n' Lock containing log book, pencil and a nice little spider community - they won't bite unless you look like a fly! Feel free to populate the final stage with more spiders!
