Geocache Description:

Looking like oversized satellite dishes, the radio telescopes of the Dominion Radio Astrophysical Observatory can all be viewed from here.

A great road side vantage point up the hill from the Observatory itself gives you and un-obstructed of both the facilities 26-metre fully steerable dish, and it's seven-antenna synthesis array.

At the time of placing this cache it also gave you a great vantage point to view the smaller portable dish, but as this is portable it may or may not be there when you visit.

If you continue up the road the facility is open for tours on weekends if you are woundering how they all work.

The cache itself is a regular sized round Lock and Lock containing the usual caching items, and some small toys for the kids to trade.

Remember you are in a desert so be aware that Rattle Snakes have been found in the area so listen and poke before you stick your hand someplace.
