Mother Goose Cache Multi-Cache
Erwinia of B & E: This cache is being put to rest to open up this beautiful park to new Geocaches. Hopefully this will excite most. This cache lasted more years than I ever imagined it would when we first placed it. It was fun to use the Mother Goose Fairy Tale rhymes as clues to make for an exciting and adventurous multi-cache. This is a four stage multi cache located
in one of the most beautiful areas of
the county. You can expect a 2 1/2 or 3
mile hike, depending on where you park,
and which trails you use. There is an
admission fee to the park on weekends and holidays: $3 per car for Mecklenberg
County residents, $5 for non-residents
(There is no admission fee from Nov. 1 to Feb. 28).
The park closes at dark.
We expect this hunt will take 3 or 4
hours to complete (maybe less if you have keen eyesight), so plan accordingly. We recommend that you stop and get a map
at N 35° 06.016', W 081° 01.220' (You will
have to go inside to get it, and they
close at 5:00 pm). This will make your
journey much easier. The first three
clues are all within 50 feet of the
trail, so don't bother with too much
bushwacking. The final cache is a little farther off trail, about 100 feet. The
first clue will be given to you by Humpty Dumpty. Along the way you are likely to
see many kinds of wildlife, and you will
pass some good fishing spots, too. We
