Geocache Description:

FUN & GAMES
at
NORTH CLACKAMAS PARK

This cache was placed for the Fun, Games, & Lemonade Cache Event on 17 Aug 2008. During the event, we held a couple of beginner's classes and put together a 9-cache beginner's course. This cache marked the final cache and became a permanent cache to mark the event and keep the fun going indefinitely.

The terrain rating for this walk is mostly a 1.5. The extra stars in difficulty are due to the water crossing near the cache location. One can take the high and dry path or the low and wet one. High and dry shouldn't be that difficult for adults and most older kids. Depending on the time of year (and thus water level), either option is viable.

This 45-acre park runs along Mt. Scott Creek near where it joins Kellogg Creek for the trip to the Willamette River. The park provides a variety of recreational activities to the residents of North Clackamas County. Built in 2007, the new ball fields, stands, and concessions area are some of the nicest in the area. The fenced leash-free dog park is popular as is the nature trail around the park. The park also has a great kids' playground and extensive picnic facilities. Stop by and check out our neighborhood gem.
