A Cache to Remember Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

riston2: Came in today with a metal detector to double check if this one was gone. Sorry to say it was. I actually feel sorry for the travel bug which made it's way from Germany, to Alaska, and then down here. Five years of traveling, over now thanks to some random muggle. Oh well, time for this one to go off the map and clear up some space for other people. Thanks!

Geocache Description:

A fun and challenging cache at Bob Heirman Wildlife preserve.

When finding this cache please remember that it won't be an easy grab and go and that a machete or some sort of bushwhacking tool is recommended. Especially in the summer when the nettles, thorns, and spider webs get pretty thick. You have been warned.

The cache has a view of Shadow Lake, though blocked by trees. Its location was originally picked by mohai before he gave the container to me. I liked his original location so here it still is today!

This used to be a travel bug lodge but after some thought about it, I decided that it probably was a bad idea. Bugs spent too much time here. They are TRAVEL bugs.

Enjoy and happy geocaching!
