The posted coordinates will bring you to stage 1 of this Multi. There are 4 stages that must be found in order to find the Birthday Stash. Ive included the trailhead coordinates from the parking area.
For my little Geo-Cousin Cole who loves to Geocache and is quite good at it. Happy Birthday! He turns the big 10 in August, and jumps at the chance to go out caching.
This Multi is kid friendly and the puzzle at the end isn't too difficult. Each stage of the cache has a log book/pencil and sharpener as well as a Geo card containing coordinates of the next stage AND a piece of the coordinate puzzle to find the Stash. You should be taking notes along the way. Please make sure these cards stay in the stages!
Each stage can accommodate smaller sized trades, they are plastic screw top containers about 2 cup size with blue tops. Please be sure to fasten the tops well! Each are full of "Kid Stuff". The Birthday Stash is in a 1 gallon green plastic container packed with toys. This multi was set up with a kid in mind, so bring them along!
All stages are on Trail #1 that circles back to the parking lot. The land becomes posted on the right side of the trail but there is no reason to go on that side anyway, and its only during the first half of the trail. The trail is up hill and down hill but overall not a difficult hike. Some stages are placed near old stone foundations however NONE of them require dis-assembly of the rock walls, so please leave them intact. Wear some repellent!
GPS accuracy ranged from 15-20 feet. Its Bear Swamp for sure, the coordinates will get you in the area, then its up to Geo-sense and the hints.
