Geocache Description:

The Ghost Stories caches are intended to bring you to some not so frequently visited places in our area and learn of some of the legends involving the area. If you know of any good ghost stories maybe they would make good cache hides, as well.
These containers are all small and intended to be easy finds. We hope you enjoy your self and don’t get too spooked out. (Lil’ KM99 came along to place these caches and she only ran off screaming once)

The actual site of Ghost Hollow is nearby. The cache is near a cemetery in the vacinity.
The stories I found regarding Ghost Hollow were found at SIGNS of the Ozarks
(visit link)

"It was 1865, just after the Civil War had ended, a man and his young to-be bride moved to Fayetteville from Ft. Smith to get married and start a new life. They had a new two-story brick home on the top of East Mountain, over looking the Hollow, where on this night, this young bride has a date with FATE! On her wedding night and with out removeing her wedding dress, she leaned over the fire place to stir the fire. Just then a spark popped to her dress setting it ablaze. Running and screaming hysterically, she runs out the back and down into the hollow below, screaming to her death. From that day to this day we have reports from people who still see & hear her screams while she keeps going on reliving her wedding night year after year after year!!

This container is hidded outside of both cemeteries. You will not need to enter either of the gated to reach the container. Please respect the priviate property signs nearby. Mrs. Holmesfam was sceared of this area as a child but this is the one place that KM99 got sceared while out hiding these caches. Take some time to look around while you are here. There is truly history all around you. We could not see exactly what the monument nearby said, but it might just get voted sceariest.
