Geocache Description:

This cache is dedicated to scorpionqueen who back in March 2008 had a great idea to produce a NW Caching geocoin. Little did she know of the perils of producing such a coin by committee but she stuck to it through thick and thin and in July 2008 at the Piratemania event she handed out the first batch of the coins.

Well done Emma and Thanks from us all.

The cache is not at the above co-ordinates but it is a good place to park for one of the easier climbs up Pendle Hill. When we set the cache we had 3 seasons of weather in 1 day, so please be prepared with all weather gear and of course walking boots. The cache is between 1.5 and 2 miles from the suggested parking place. Please note the terrain difficulty, the last few hundred yards to the cache can be a little tricky with 3 foot drops into water that are covered in vegetation.

To get the co-ordinates for the cache you need to solve the puzzle below. Special thanks to Muttoneer who not only designed the front of the coin but also set the puzzle for this cache. Click the icon below to start the quiz, The Initial letter for each of the pictures should help you get the password to reveal the actual co-ordinates of the cache.

There is a laminated activated NW Caching geocoin in the cache for all visitors to see and discover on Geocaching.com. Please do not remove it from the cache.

The FTF prize of course was an unactivated NW Caching geocoin claimed by grue666, Hope you enjoy the coin.

This cache will be changed to a Trad in the new year but the quiz will still remain for anyone who wishes to do it (emails for clues welcome). So if you to bag the cache as a puzzle, you will need to get your skates on.
