Geocache Description:

A magnetic cache located on some historic Nashville ground.

This is a simple cache, but there's a lot more to be found in the history of the church it calls home. First Baptist Nashville is and has been a landmark downtown for over 185 years. Birthplace of the Sunday School Board (now LifeWay) and the Tennessee Baptist Children's Home, First Baptist and its iconic tower (technically not a steeple since it is freestanding rather than connected to the building itself) have persevered and prospered on the corner of 7th and Broad. This cache serves to bring you to a little bit of Nashville history, and to a place where the Stoogeteers have spent quite a bit of time themselves. Enjoy.

Note: Try not to hunt this one during events at the Sommet Center. The parking lot will be full and there will be attendants there to take parking fees. Sunday mornings and evenings and Wednesday nights will also be high traffic times.
