Easy drive by in dry weather but a bit slippery after rain. Can walk a short distance on the slippery mud but be prepared for muddy feet. Access is from the Lock 9 road not through the Caravan Park.
On a recent Hot Air Balloon Training Camp at Lake Cullulleraine RSL camp we put out about 12 caches for the young balloonists to try their luck at.
The caches had Hot Air Balloon themes, Landholder Relations being a very important part of training to be a balloon pilot. This means keeping the people who own the land that you are launching from or landing on happy. Balloonists always ask permission before using private property, wherever possible. They avoid upsetting stock or damaging property at all times.
These ideals are also the same for geocachers so we decided to list this cache on the website.
The cach is a 1.5 liter white screw top jar. The original contents were farm related with horses being the main theme. We have put a selection of gadgets and widgets in but it would be good if we could get back to the Landholder relations themes.
Happy caching!!
