A former DOT informative site overlooking the Trans-Alaska Pipeline's Pump Station 12. They only built 11 stations, but kept the original naming conventions from the plans, so the next station north of this one was Pump 10. This station is now shut down and the signs for this informative site were removed, but you can still walk down the very short trail by this cache and see a good overview of the station. Also note that security is still in place, so do not try to access the station property!
The short access road is a right-of-way that goes to a power sub-station. There is a parking area right in front of the cache before you get to the power sub-station. Plenty of room to turn around a mid-sized RV without a tow car, but the "big boys" towing a full-size should probably skip this one.
