Team F&F: FlalaMingo and her caching
partner, Feathers
FlalaMingo Facts:
FlalaMingo, or Flala or just plain Fla as we call her, is
defined in Team Dilemma's Geocaching Lexicon as: The sweetest, most
fun cacher around Western Mass! ( Sorry Koneko, remember Western
Mass starts at the Canal! )
Characteristics of a FlalaMingo
are:
- Has Flamingos in her yard, just checkout
the background image!
- Got her name from her neices and nephews
who call her "Auntie Lala". When it came to selecting a caching
name FlalaMingo seemed a natural.
- Has 13 birds, a dog, a cat, 2 goats, oh
yes... and a husband at home.
- Will frequently pay more attention to the
nature around her than looking for the cache as
evidenced here.
- Will almost always want to succumb to the
inner child within her.
- Gets V-E-R-Y excited when as approaching
a cache location she gets "In the FEETS!"
- Frequently is seen with her caching
partner Feathers.
- Is the sister of the cacher known as
~Marvalus
- Has peach trees in her yard.
- Has 2 landscaping pond thingies ( I don't
know what to call them ) with goldfish swimming around in the
pool!
- Does not answer to the name
"Flowers"
- Loves the color of the text on this cache
page!
- She is ready to go caching anytime I have
called.
- Likes to go for Ice Cream after
caching!
- Is just plain fun to go caching
with!
The Skinny
Not really sure when I first met Fla, but I
do remember Dosido getting a "BIFF" for his now defunct cache,
Going Up!. I think I have got a few along the way, but now much
more likely to get a hug than a "BIFF" ( but will probably get one
now for not remembering when we met... )
After going on several adventures with us, she treked up to
The Colonel's Cache and was in on
Team Dilemma: 1100/535 ,celebrating both Dosido's and my 1000th
cache. She also was in on my 1500th cache by that impish Chief20r2,
To LPC or not to LPC, That is the Question, so it only figures
that she should be honored with a cache of her own...
The Cache
The cache is a .30 Cal Ammo Can, painted by
those local cache container artists, Alexa and Will Dosido, and
features a Flamingo on one side. Hidden in "La Style Du
FlalaMingo", the cache is about halfway along the trail you must
take to get to Crop Circle's nearby
As the Crow Flies. I picked this spot cause it was near the
brook, and as I crossed the bridge I heard all the frogs squeak as
they scampered away. Yup this was the spot.
