Geocache Description:

My first cache outside Stockholm !

It´s not a particular place.
But it´s a beautiful Wiev over lake Malaren.
You can see a big dome in the the near town.
You can take a swim in the lake in this place.
The cache is situated under a stone near a pine tree,and a old tree-root is on the front.

The cache box inhold:

  • Logbook.
  • Geocache-read this.
  • Pencil.
Jan "IT-gubben" Wåland var en av förfäderna och en legend i geocaching Sverige. Mellan åren 2001 och 2010 placerade han ut 134 gömmor runtom i Sverige, platser som han hade besökt – och som han vill att flera skulle upptäcka.
Tyvärr lämnade Jan oss i 2020. Under hösten samma år kontaktades familjen om att adoptera de sjuttiotal aktiva IT-gubben cachar, för att hålla dessa i liv och för framtida generationer. I april 2021 startades projektet Rädda IT-gubbens geoskatt! – med målsättning att finna lokala geocachare som vill adoptera och förvalta en eller flera av IT-gubbens gömmor nära sig.
