Uggerby river rises in Sterup, 65 kilometers from the cache, passes Sindal, Mosbjerg and Uggerby and flows into the North Sea in Tannis Bay. From Sindal to its mouth the river has its original natural run. The river is characterized by its gentle flow, many turns and steep banks. In Uggerby river it is possible to catch perch, trout, pike, roach and eel – remember to by a licence. (can be done at the canoe rental shop - se below). The quickest route to the cache is to park the car at the parking area (N 57° 35.448 E 10° 08.835) and follow the path towards east. (don’t worry the path turns!). Alternatively bikes are welcome on the path. Note that it is “bike route No.1” The trip Skagen-Hirtshals on bike on this path is definitely worth a try. The above mentioned P area Is well suited as starting point for bike trips in both directions. If there is basis for an extraordinary exploration of the area, I suggest that canoes are rented at N57° 34.070 E10° 06.659 and used for transport towards the cache. After approximately an hour you approach the end of your “cruise”. Just pass the cache and leave the canoes at the bridge, or at the very mouth of the river (The rental shop will return them by car). Now you can approach the cache on foot. I recommend that you climb the viewpoint or take a rest at the benches (N57° 35.448 E10° 08.835) on the way. The cache itself should not be difficult to locate. If you left your car at the canoe rental shop and now want to return, I suggest that you continue along the track towards west. Time and energy permitting tracks towards the beach might be exploited. (you may even take a swim! The water is shallow and the current very limited – excellent but cooold!!!!) When the track is crossed by a small paved road at (N57°35.038 E10°06.190) you turn south along this and end at your starting point in Uggerby.
