Pico do Jorge Traditional Geocache

When you are back at your car you will curse me because of that hard walk. But keep in mind; it was just as hard for me to hide that cache.

You will have a walk on the backbone of the island. I suggest starting at Achada da Teixeira (a place above Santana). In this case you can also log the cache “Pico Ruivo”. It’s your choice to walk the whole distance to the Encumeada pass. Respect if you do so! Consider, the other way round is even harder. If the weather is similar to that when I did the walk, you will have breath taking views. But be aware you are walking on the top of the island and the weather can change very quickly. Anorak and mountain boots are a must. Take to eat and to drink with you (I needed 2 litres).
