Come build yourself a fantasy sand castle at the "Sandsations" Festival in July, then return again in August for the spectacular sight of a gazillion colorful kites dancing in the sky above the waves at the International Kite Festival.

Come to walk in the footsteps of Willie Clark and his trusty sidekick Meriwether who skipped down this very beach more than 200 years ago.  Heck, come in the dead of winter to watch majestic winter storms whip the Pacific waves high and frothy.
