Geocache Description:

Near Thorn Hill Industrial Park. Easy & fun for the whole family! Not wheelchair friendly!

ARRR...Pirate Pete has hidden his treasure of gems, jewels, and doubloons in the woods. Pirate Pete wants to share it with everyone, especially the small buccaneers. He knows that the young Buccos won't hornswaggle him! Look out for landlubbers and scallywags, especially when it's hunting season. Please put the cache(s) as you found them so Pirate Pete doesn't make you walk the plank!

STAGE 1- Small ammo container- Inside are the coordinates for STAGE 2 (look in the lid) and a collection of LOOT BAGS (needed for STAGE 2) for the mini buccaneers to collect few pieces of Pirate Pete's treasure.

STAGE 2-Regular size Lock-n-Lock Ammo box filled with Pirate Pete's treasure and other fun items! Please have your mini cacher limit themselves to a few gems, jewels, and doubloons so that there is enough for many mini cachers to enjoy!

FTF gets an UNREGISTERED Travel Bug!!

Arrg...I must have had my eye patch on the wrong eye the days we scoped out & set stage 1. There is an old tree stand acting as a crow’s nest. A large horned Whitetail I'm not... THANK GOD!!! If I was, I would be visiting him(God that is).

After finally noticing the obvious, I assessed the condition of this tree stand & it appears to be in very bad shape. It has been there so long the tree has started to grow around it, enough to hold it from falling down. But as an apparently non-observant hunter I wouldn't try hunting out of it.

With this assessment we have decided to leave stage 1 where it is. It is our opinion that any Cacher visiting will not be walking in on a hunter using this stand. If anything they would be saving his/her life by finding them & calling an ambulance....
