Geocache Description:

This cache is in a small peanut butter jar with a purple lid. At no time will you be unsafe in your search.

You will be able to access the Carden Cove Road at N48°43.638 W086°22.633.

Believe it or not, this was once the site of Commercial Granite (syenite) when this area was still known a Peninsula. Granite was shipped from here to eastern and western Canada, as well as the U.S. "The stone was used in Eaton's College Street store and the Creed Building in Toronto and in numerous buildings in Chicago and Detroit. The major part of the Hoover Memorial is of Peninsula Granite." (You will find this information in 'Pic, Pulp and People, A History of the Marathon District'.) If you look, you will be able to see the bore holes in the rock.

Original contents include:
log book and pencil
flashing key chain
folding pen/highlighter
magnetic clip
Marathon button
Confederation College button
small toy
