A scenic spot on a scenic trail. :-)
You could easily drive to GZ for this cache, but I strongly encourage you to park your vehicle at the listed coordinates and either hike or bike the old railroad bed to make the find. It’s an easy walk at any time of year on a mostly flat and level trail, apart from a rough patch at the beginning. I've been out this way many times and I'm still discovering new sights. As you're making the journey take a moment to think of the thousands upon thousands of man-hours it must have taken to build the original railroad here in the time before modern earth-moving equipment. How many days did it take to create the stretch of trail you just covered in 20 paces? Its a little humbling. After finding the cache you could continue on and explore Lofty Tunnel at the far end. Its worth the trip.
Container is a 30 cal ammo can that started out with the usual variety of trading items. As the crow flies, it’s a little over a mile from parking, though the trip is somewhat longer on the ground. Hidden near a stream that crosses under the railroad bed. The sight and sound of the stream cascading down the slope is really something. This would be a great family hiking trip, so feel free to drop off small toys for the little cachers out there. Enjoy!!
