Welcome to Gulnare
Arriving at GZ you will discover a brief history recording the two areas that make up the Township of 5471...
Rodney Cockburn's South Australia, 'What's in a name ?'
states the Gulnare Plains "were discovered and named by John A.Horrocks in 1841 after a favourite dog, which provided himself and three others with emus, their only food for the time being."
"Gulnare is a feminine name, and means literally 'the flower of the pomegranite'.
Please take your time to enjoy the history of the area.
This is a high muggle area for retrieval, even with a population of only 31!
