Down on the Boardwalk Traditional Cache

This cache is temporarily unavailable.

Greatland Reviewer: Dear SSO JOAT,

I have been going through caches that have multiple "DNF" (did not find) logs, which is often a sign that a cache is missing. Generally cachers avoid hunting a cache with many DNF logs, so it is a good idea for the Cache Owner to check the cache and either replace it or post a log to the cache page to tell fellow geocachers that the cache is still there, but they might need new eyeglasses. No action by the Cache Owner may result in a cache being archived to keep the cache from appearing in local Pocket Queries.

Please reenable the cache page after you have maintained your cache. To reenable the cache, go to the cache from your Account page on GC.com. Under "Admin Tools" in the upper right-hand corner, click "Enable," write your note and click "Submit log entry."

Please contact me if you have any questions.

A popular Kenai River access with elevated boardwalks and stairways down into the water for fishing access. Bank erosion and destruction of the vegetation was a major issue several years ago, resulting in the construction of numerous boardwalks along the river to protect the habitat and ensure healthy salmon runs continue in this world famous waterway. This area also provides a great view of the Kenai River.

There are other caches around this large park and this cache completes a full set of the popular cache sizes. It's a very high muggle zone, so stealth is a must.

From June through August, you'll want to bring your fishing pole and waders with you to join in with the rest of the muggles in this area.

Please be sure to replace this cache hanging upside down exactly as it was found. That is under the plate with the angled brackets on it. Be sure to zip up the bags and screw the lid back on tight before replacing. This is a rather wet spot.
