Geocache Description:

An easily accessible cache on the eastern end of the Sandown/ Shanklin Bay area.

The sandy bay stretches from the base of Culver Cliffs round to Luccombe. A paved promenade runs alongside the majority of it is length, from here to Shanklin Chine to the southwest. Those with the desire and time can walk it and pick up 3 of the Beautiful Beaches' caches enroute or this can be treated as a simple cache and dash.

This end of the bay is for the more sporty with a well used public slip providing access for the local sailing club as well as the jetski brigade.
An excellent sandy beach with good swimming but beware of the side currents around high tide.
From here the Coastal Path takes to the high ground, please don't try to get round Culver at the base of the cliffs, it's achievable but very difficult and is a regular spot for cliff rescues!

The hide is consistent with the majority of the rest in this series so the challenge is more in the successful undetected recovery and replacment than the initial find.

The cache is a white 35mm cannister within easy reach of a wheelchair user. Take a pen or pencil.
