Geocache Description:

Located in the Freycinet National Park, a must visit on the east coast of Tasmania

Freycinet Peninsula is officially the most visited national park in Tasmania with over 200,000 people taking in its spectacular views and incredible granite sand beaches.

One of the great things is however, that if you visit in winter you can still experience this landscape without the crowds. Whales swimming just offshore, friendly wildlife and spectacular coastal scenery make this a special place which should be savored at leisure rather than shared with the frenzied crowds.

The cache is located on the track to Wineglass Bay. This track has to be seen to be believed, it is a real work of art with beautifully crafted stonework forming steps and retaining walls in sweeping curves that seem to dissolve the almost 200 m climb into a stroll in the park. Hidden along the path are a couple of gems like the Waterfall Lounge, an ideal, out of the way location for a small cache.

Cache is a small recycled body butter container with an assortment of swaps.
