Leek Springs Portal Traditional Cache

The cache location is close to MET, so searching by the Wee Ones might be inadvisable. Please bring your own writing tool.
Since the first year of the Gold Rush, California had not had a diamond discovery until 1995 when it was found in the Leek Springs area. This is home to rock that is best described as diamondiferous olivine lamporite breccia agglomerate. (Now put THAT in your spell-checker!)
But that's just one of several reasons you might enjoy venturing along the 3 mile road to the Leek Springs Fire Look-out Tower that is still operating. The road is mostly fine for any kind of car, though at first it appears daunting.
