Geocache Description:

Welcome to the 100 Acre Woods Cache Series

This series is based on Winnie the Pooh and is a tribute to the 100 acres of city parkland that we have to enjoy each and every day.   Since being introduced to Geocaching, I have been completely amazed at the number of local parks that I never knew ever existed, and if it was not for Geocaching, I do not believe I would ever have had the pleasure of exploring even a fraction of them.

The purpose is to celebrate the local parks we have and to promote members and families to walk through some of the vast number of parks that the city has to offer.

This series is also a tribute to my birthday and my 500th cache milestone.

A birthday is a celebration of life and continued good health.  In our family it is a tradition that when you are having a birthday that instead of you receiving gifts you are expected to give someone a gift.  It could be another family member, volunteering your time and talents, giving a gift to a friend, or someone less fortunate, or perhaps a stranger.  This year I am celebrating my birthday with my fellow geocachers, by giving to you all this cache series.  Starting from Sept 21 (which is my actual birthday) I will be having a couple of caches published each week, until all the caches have been published.

The series is made up of 13 traditional caches which are hidden in various parks throughout the Surrey/Langley area.  For those like myself who are not fond of micro caches then you are going to like this series because there is NO micro caches.  Each cache is a Lock&Lock style box, for those who enjoy nothing better than finding those pesky immature micro caches, well you either have to suck it up, or go and find some other caches to hunt for.  Each cache contains some swag items, and at least one clue that is required when finding the the final mystery/puzzle cache.  To complete the series you must find and record all the clues contained in each of the 13 traditional caches and use them to decode the following message that will direct you to the final cache.

The final cache is a large ammo box of which the contents are four characters from the 100 acre woods as travel bugs waiting to be set free to venture from cache to cache within the 100 acre woods.  Please one per geocacher.
There are also many other Pooh theme special swag items and other special items which I am not going to spoil the fun but will let you find out for yourself.  What I will say is just that the items contained are unique and premium items, so come prepared to trade fairly. The final cache will have a FTF, 2TF, 3TF, and 4TF certificate.

Enjoy the series, and a special thank you to the City of Surrey and the Langley Township for supplying the caches with their city swag.

Piglet's House

Piglet is a soft-spoken and skittish little fellow whose generosity and humility far outweigh his meager size. Still, he considers himself just "a very small animal." His fastidious movements, anxious wringing of hands, and occasionally stuttering voice ("Oh d-d-d-dear"), convey his nervousness and fear of the unknown. But inside Piglet's small frame is a big heart.

Campbell Valley Regional Park has many things to offer the outdoor enthusiast.  It has 7 major trials, with many tributaries that will take you to marsh lands, creeks, ponds, and ravines.  The park provides both trailed and open horseback riding, and is home to the Campbell Downs Equestrian centre.  The park also has 4 picnic area's and 2 interpretive exhibits, there are even 2 dog off-leach areas to the south end of the park, and both the Coyote Group and the McLean Boy scout camps are at the north end of the park.   There are several ways into this vast park some are easier than others to get to the cache.  The cache is a 1L LockNLock original contents are FTF pin, City pins, magnets, stickers, a key chain, carabineer, Geocaching pin, a hat light, and of course clue #13 for the final puzzle cache.
