Geocache Description:

Located in an easy to reach area. You are looking for a bison tube style micro with two logs inside, including a space for the FTF. Sadly there is no room for writing utensils so remember to bring a pen!!

This cache is one of our first, I am a bit of a history buff and as such tend to be mindful of these areas. We walk here and use it as part of our bicycle route. Everytime I pass this monument it makes me thankful for the sacrifices of those that came before us. Never forget the sacrifices of those brave individuals and what freedoms they won for us all.
Quoted from the ohio historical society marker on site. "This chapel was a gift form the Grand Army of the Republic, mostly Civil War veterans and was dedicated on Memorial Day 1899. Plaques inside the chapel list 702 men from Ohio, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia who served in the civil war including 311 who are memorialized or buried at Riverview. There are also plaques listing soldiers killed in World War I and II, Korea, and Vietnam. The rich history of East Liverpool and Columbiana County is documented in the burials at the riverview cemetary."
Happy hunting and remember there is no room for pens in this one so bring your own! Also should the logs fill up just email me and I'll replace them.
