Geocache Description:

Small cache in an interesting historical site 10km from Mildura. Easy to get to but a bit more difficult to find.
I have move this cache after it was muggled. This is a very popular place for walkers. Stealth required.

This cache is located close to the old Cooke Street pumping station. It was built by the Mildura Irrigation Trust in 1889. This is the second in a series of pumps built by the Chaffey Brothers (Canadian Engineers who developed the Mildura and Renmark Irrigation Districts) to distribute the water pumped into Kings Billabong by the Psyche Bend pumps. This old pump has now been replaced by the state of the art pumping station which can be seen below the Kings Billabong Lookout in Cureton Avenue and unfortunately, only the pump house remains.

Happy caching!
