Start at the trailhead, and walk the wood chip path. Stay on the path until you are within 35 feet - this will save bushwhacking through the briars. The park board has also requested that you do not bushwhack through the woods but stay on the trail. There are turkey, deer and many birds within the park.
Nice little nature hike. Posts are being erected with information about the trees and such. Permission was granted to place this cache from the NHT Park and Rec Board plus the Norwin School District. The school district has requested a volunteer to create a trail map through Tinker Run Park. If you know anyone who likes putting together a trail map, call Norwin School District and ask for Dr. Boylan. There are plans for an outdoor classroom as well as trails leading to historical sites within the park. If you would like to be a part of all this, give him a call.
If you see any suspicious activity within the park, leave a note in your cache log and I will contact the Park and Rec Board and let them know.
This cache is perfect for children, but not good for a stroller. There is a FTF prize (untrackable geocoin and certificate) and a 2TF Prize inside the cache.
