I was in the Tuggeranong Library recently when a curious thing
happened. A chicken walked up to the circulation desk and said:
"book, book, bok, bok, boook". The librarian handed the chicken a
book, which it tucked under its wing, and it ran out of the
library.

A short while later, the chicken raced back in, threw the first
book into the return chute and returned to the librarian: "book,
bok, bok, bok, boook" it demanded. The librarian gave it another
book, and away it went. The librarian shook her head. Within a few
minutes, the chicken was back, returned the book and started all
over again: "boook, book, bok bok boook". The librarian handed over
yet a third book. I was intrigued by this time, so I followed the
chicken as it left.

The chicken ran out the back door to the lake edge. There,
reclining on a lily pad, was a big, green frog. The chicken showed
the book to the frog, saying: "Book, book, bok, bok, boook". The
frog blinked, and croaked: "read-it, read-it, read-it".
