Chuck Walla: Greetings from Geocaching.com!

Since you have not responded to my reviewer log about your cache, the cache has been archived.

Some time ago, I posted a note to your cache page requesting a response from you to post what you were planning to do with the cache on the page and to send me a note. I have no record of a response, and no response tells me that you are not planning on replacing or repairing this cache. If I am wrong with that assumption, please let me know promptly. I can always unarchive the cache for you if needed.

Sincerely,

Geocache Description:

A local historic location. Not too hard. Easy access. Contains small trade items and toys for the little ones. Bring your own pen.

This cache is one that should be fairly easy, but interesting in the fact of the history of the location. There use to be an old tabernacle standing here, but was torn down due to weathering and instability. This new building now stands in its place carrying on its purpose.

The local Beebe Church traces its history to the early 20th century, actually formed just before the "official" founding of the denomination. The original church was located in the Stoney Point area. When the railroad came through what is now Beebe, "town" moved from Stoney Point a few miles east to be in close proximity to the railroad. The church moved with this new development, and was located just off Main Street in downtown Beebe for most of the 20th century. Being landlocked and needing room to expand and build new facilities, the church officially relocated in 1995 to its present sight.

A new worship center was recently completed in late 2007. The church is located on what for many years was known as the Holiness Campground. Area wide camp meetings were held on this sight for 100 years (1893-1993).

Please have fun and feel free to visit at anytime.

Congratulations to "ShadowCachers" for FTF.
