Geocache Description:

This is a small jar inside a box to keep hidden from Muggles. Contains logbook & pencil, has limited room for small trade items.

Placed on private property with permission. Cache maintained by geamar.

In 1802, the Methodist Society granted a charter for this "far west" outpost to establish what would be the first Methodist church in the vast Western Reserve area. Originally serviced by circuit riders, the original brick church was built at the western side of the circle, on what is now a parking lot for the Circle Restaurant. The "new" church building was built on property at the junction of 14 and 225, but the bell from the original church is housed on the property.
