Geocache Description:


This cache has to be obtained via boat and may only be available during the summer...each year from June 1 to end of September there is a boat running to the Island from the visitors centre, every hour between 9 to 5 daily. Located on the east end of Saddle Island this cache has been placed close to a spot where Basque whalers would lookout for whales travelling through the Strait of Belle Isle. Once whales where spotted a crew of harpooners were sent out in small boats to hunt them.
cache is a 35mm film has a log book pencil and FTF pin.
