Geocache Description:

A cache located next to a popular bridleway located in what was an old deer park related to Warwick Castle I believe.

The cache is located on a popular bridleway in an area that was once an old deer park relating to Warwick Castle I believe. Look on an OS Map of the area and you will find many reference to the park. I understand that the nearby Rouncil Lane marked the edge of the park and the earthworks marked on the OS Map at Goodrest farm was the site of an old hunting lodge.
Access to the cache is via Public Bridleways, please note that the road running close by is a Private Road for access to the farms and property in the locality so this is not a cache and dash. There are nice walks from Wedgnock Lane in Warwick, Rouncil Lane and Hatton Park. If making your way from Wedgnock Lane take the time to admire the views back over Warwick.
At the time of siting the cache the bridleway was a little soggy so in the middle of winter the conditions under foot are likely to be poor! Terrain rating has been rated a little higher due to the mud factor so unlikely to be suitable for wheelchairs or childrens buggies except in the driest of weather.
For those with young children or with dogs please be aware that the bridleway skirts a pond, I know my dog would like nothing better to jump into the stagnant water with fragrant consequences. You have been warned!

FTF Honours go to Jimjinks who found the cache less than 12 hours after it was placed let alone published.
