This is on a piece of state trust land that is slowly being surrounded by the growth of the Great Falls area. As long as you have a State Lands Permit, you can use this land all you wish. If you are hunting or fishing, the permit is included in your conservation license. There is a trail the whole way. Watch for deer, geese, gophers, snakes, and other wildlife in the area.
Since it is a new cache in a slightly different location (around 100 feet), you'll have to visit it and sign the log--no claiming a smiley because you found one of the previous ones. This is the third cache (that I know of) in this location.
- The first (State Land Treasure GCNEAW) was placed by txbmxdad, who removed it due to moving out of state.
- The second (State Land Treasure (Deux) GCQGXV) was placed by Dragnlance, who apparently wandered off and forgot about it. It was adopted by da3stooges who pulled the waterlogged container to replace it with a new watertight one, but was then apparently abducted by aliens before being able to do so. 5 months later it was archived.
This seems to be a Bad Karma cache, but I'm going in anyway. Once is an accident, twice is coincidence, but 3 times is enemy action...so if I suddenly vanish or forget how to check this cache, for your own safety DON"T place a 4th cache here!
