Geocache Description:

A moderately strenuous walk for bush walking experienced Geocachers of about one hour one way will take you mainly through rainforest that is definitely Cassowary country.

If you do not meet one of these birds at least you can see droppings that give evidence of their activities in distributing various seeds. It is said that more than a hundred plant species are dependent on being spread by Cassowaries. If you happen to encounter one follow the suggestions given in

Put a sheet of paper and a pen in your pocket to solve the easy puzzle at the first stage!
You have two options to approach the first stage:
a) Moderate: Starting from a parking at the Kennedy Highway on top of the range at
S16°49.842’ E145°40.047’. There is a track leading south to the first stage at
S16°50.228’ E145°40.286’ where you will get information how to locate the final cache. After a right bend about half way there is a junction. Turn left here.
b) Shorter although strenuous at first: You start from Henry Ross Lookout on Kennedy Highway. You have to cross the road with EXTREME CAREto come to the trailhead at
S16°50.254’ E145°40.322’.
From here you go for about 20m parallel to the road and then go straight approximately 100m following your GPS to the first stage at
S16°50.228’ E145°40.286’ climbing about 45m.
first stage is a power pole with a silvery sticker on it. You will find the numbers "PQRSTUV" in a vertical order. This helps you find the location of the treasure at
S16°SQ.ΛQV' E145°TQ.UVP'
You may need about an hour to get to it.
