Geocache Description:

This is at the Webb AFB Family Picnic Grounds or at least once was the picnic grounds; I went on picnics here with my friends who were Air Force Brats; we watched the jets doing touch and goes from here. There is a lot of grass but the old parking lot is still there. You can walk safely to the cache.

I have contacted the powers that be and it was cleared to be in this location, matter of fact nobody from the local Law Enforcement to the Airpark Manager layed claim to the "No Trespassing Sign" being theirs.

Webb Air Force is a very missed Military Installation. Many of us in Big Spring have fond memories of friends and activities; such as the Air Show with the Air Force Thunderbirds. With our military friends we would go to the base to go both to the Swimming Pool and the Bowling Alley. At bedtime I also happily remember listening to the jets taking off and flying over as I drifted off to sleep.

This cache is a small cookie container wrapped in camo tape with initial contents being: a pink erasure, a DQ token, a Caring Hearts magnet, a Christmas ornament from Germany, a baby doll pacifier; a little hair clip, a pad and pen.

You will have to get this one between 8 and 5, Monday thru Saturday as they put barriers across the access road to disway illegal dumping at the city compost.

Congrats to dekoning for First to Find.
