Nice cache in a fun location. Fun stop for history buffs, and the
entire family.
This cache is located at the free Wyman Living History Museum east
of Craig, CO. Permission was granted by the owner to place this
cache here. You must visit this cache during business hours, they
are Mon. through Fri. from 9 in the morning to 5 in the afternoon.
They are also open on Sat. and Sun. from 11 in the morning to 5 in
the afternoon. Although no contact with the employees is needed be
sure to stop in first and say hello.
This ought to be a very fun time for the whole family. Not only
will you add another number to your finds you'll find a very nice
cache. The cache is located near an old ox bow that was at one time
a part of the nearby Yampa River. We saw ducks, and many frogs
while we were placing this cache.
Some of the treasure in this cache came from the shelves in the
museum. There are some nice old bottles and other articles and
postcards as well as some children’s toys. This will be a summer
only cache.
We suggest you take the time to look over the free museum and say
Hi to "Clyde" the elk. You won't be dissapointed!
Be sure to get cocoalminers GC14CHN Living History puzzle cache,
and GC1FPY8 Living History 3 - Coal Bucket located at this same
museum.
