softball29: This cache has had a good run, but with the moving of some portable benches and how many times this one got knocked, I'm going to archive and open this area up to something better. I am going to look into doing the second version of Downtown/Main Street USA: Delhi soon though. I have a couple of ideas. Stay tuned!

Geocache Description:

This cache is part of the “Downtown / Main Street USA" series. Please visit the cache that started it all - Downtown / Main Street USA: Edison, NJ (GC11H9K). Here you will find the latest count of caches in the series and find out how you can add your own. NOTE: THIS CACHE IS NOW A NANO!!!

Delhi, New York.

The county seat of Delaware County. The home of the county offices, sheriffs office and more. So much history in this town.

It's a great place to visit if you're interested in the small-town feel (especially in the summer). In the village, there's the State University of New York at Delhi, so the population in the village doubles during the school year(seriously, it doubles).

There are some nice stores, rolling mountains and countless historical spots to visit. Part of the Delaware River comes through the town and village, there's an in-use historical covered bridge on the outskirts of town.

We have two stop lights, three gas stations, a couple of pizza joints and only two places (Price Chopper and Mobil Mart) that are open 24 hours a day.

The cache is located in a small park on the corner of Main and Franklin Streets in the village.

It's a quaint area with several benches. It's peaceful and a place where you could eat a lunch, do some reading, sit and people watch or just sit and relax. In the warmer months, there are a lot of flowers and the area is well-kept.

If you are visiting Delhi, make sure to see all the others in our village and town. There are a bunch of good ones -- some easy, some hard, some extreme!

You'll likely need tweezers or something like that to pull the log out. Please replace as found and make sure everything is secure. Thanks for finding my cache!
