Geocache Description:

This is a puzzle cache that requires some work before you leave home. Please read the long description below and please don't post the solution in any of your logs.

Please be sure and read this description before you go to this cache. It's going to take some homework before you get any love. It will also undoubtedly require the internet and some google skills.

The coordinates given will get you to a lockbox attached to a post. The lock box contains a logbook and a pencil. The lockbox has a four digit combination which you must determine by solving the puzzle below. I don't think you can solve this without access to the web. Without the combination there is no point in going to the site as logging this cache as found requires the box to be opened not just found.

There's $10 in this for the FTF.

Fun is the key! The first number is not just a mystery... it's a virtual enigma!. It can be found by decoding the string AYNLBQWCGXTNQDFVPRB. Contained within this string is one of the needed numbers.

Solving the first problem will get you 1/4 of the way there. Once you've got it solved I want you to make sure that you don't cheat and just hit random numbers. Play fair and remember about having fun! You'll need to solve the riddle ZO GR GD LB EK HR ZR LX MP ZO XL NL to get the next installment. You'll find some X's in this code but just ignore them as they're not needed to solve the puzzle.

The next number is a code I don't really get. You might say that it's all Greek to me. You may find this easier to solve in July or August as it's kind of a seasonal thing. The key to this one is the beginning of 'Quovadis' (a movie about Romans but they're similar to Greek's aren't they?) The puzzle requires you to decode the string JXUJXYHTDKCRUHYIPUHE. When this is done you're on your way to the finish line.

The final number you need forces you to get off the fence. You can rail against me all you like but I stood in two lines for hours before someone encrypted this one for me!. TEATUBRSIEHLSNMEIFV is the cipher.

Good luck - and feel free to email me to verify the lockbox code before you go wasting your precious geocaching time.
