Blow Down Traditional Cache
Jitterbug205 & Horseman: Although this is a great location for a cache we have decided to
archive Blow Down because of maintenance issues. So sorry, hopefully
we can get another one up there that is easier to maintain for you all.

This cache is off the beaten track and in winter we would advise against trying it. Accessible by 4WD or 1/3 mile hike over rough road. Not so hard to find once you get to the location but cache is precarious in its attachment. Please be careful as you log it.
We placed this cache on the fly in an area of blown down timber. November of 2007 a furious wind storm swept through this area leveling trees, snapping them off six feet above the ground, or uprooting them completely. Volunteers came from all over to assist the staff at the nearby Beartooth Mountain Christian Ranch in tree removal. Now the locals, armed with wood permits and fire extinguishers, are harvesting the downed timber for the coming winter. You are looking for a film canister hidden in the woods. :-)
Just a log is included in the container so bring your own pen or pencil. FTF prize can be collected at the Dew Drop Inn in Absarokee.
