No train passengers or cctv cameras to worry about when finding this one.Situated near the site of the former Broadway station which was demolished in 1960 and above the old Stratford upon Avon to Cheltenham line.
The GWR steam railway based at nearby Toddington are in the process of restoring the line from Toddington to Broadway and are in fact looking for a old disused station to rebuild at Broadway,a signal box has already been obtained and is in storage at Winchcombe station.
PLEASE NOTE.
Though Springfield lane is a public right of way it is also a private road and there is no parking along it,please park at the suggested place near the Swan inn where there is free parking for one hour and enjoy a walk to the cache admiring the lovely houses and their gardens,there are also good views of Saintbury church and Broadway tower on the way back.
